VTG AMT 1966 Chevrolet Impala Super Sport FRICTION Promo

AMT had the contract with GM and FOMOCO in the 1960's to produce to annual promotional toy cars for the showroom. Details were pretty good in the molds, with the better plastic from the earlier promo years.

This one is from 1966. The Chevrolet Impala Super Sport. It represents the factory tan color of Cameo Beige. Some dispute it as Sandalwood Tan. The body of the car is actually very nice with very good vent frame areas.

Just One issue in the front with the valance/splash pan being broken. Typical weak chrome plating on the bumpers for the age, but still, a great car to do a minor restore. Stored for years so a required bath in a soapy sink for sanitary sanity.

No odors and from a non smoker home. If it is marked new, it IS new. It may be a vintage, old item, but if it is unused or unopened other than for photos, then it is NEW.
