SMP 125 1911 Chevrolet Model Kit SUPER RARE AMT 60's Dealer Promo PLEASE READ

One of the rarest of the rare!!! Just found an SMP 1911 Chevrolet Model Kit.

Many collectors know that this kit is extremely hard to find. From what I understand it was offered as an assemble promo to Chevy dealers only around 1961 or so.

Apparently SMP (before being bought out by AMT) also made some kits. They must have made so few, though, that the kit didn't even have it's own display box. The parts themselves are in fine shape, though many are off the sprues. As you can see from the pictures, the brass plated parts are there as well as the clear glass. There is no engine, but that is the way the kit came.

No cracks or broken parts as far as I can see. The parts I believe missing are two tiny hubcaps and one half of the fuel tank. As a bonus, the owner before me clipped and article in 1984 stating how hard these were to find even back then!

Finally, yes, it's not complete, but the rarity of these kits is such that you never know when another one will come along, so like the article says don't pass it up. Thank you for looking and please contact me with any questions.
