AMT 1966 Mercury Comet Cyclone GT Stock Custom Drag Annual Kit # 6356 in Box 66

AMT'66 Comet Cyclone GT. AMT'66 Mercury Comet Cyclone GT, original issue 3-in-1 annual.

Partially built project in original art box. There is no paint on anything, and gluing is generally fairly neat. That being said, some decals have been applied to the body, and the body has two damaged areas: the right a-pillar and vent post are bent, and there is a small hole in the tail panel at the driver's side tail light (both stock tail lights look broken). All of the body's handles and scripts are intact with no sanding. Hood looks good with no cutting and both hinges intact.

Bumpers / grill (stock and custom) look to all be here, with some dulling. Engine is built fairly stock (the race fuel injection system is not here). Front crossmember on the chassis has a small piece broken out of it.

Interior is built race, with the stock seats/console here in new, unused condition. Wheels are the steel open wheelbacks (some tire-burn melting), with Firestone Supreme blackwall/whitewall tires. The white plastic two-piece drag slicks are here. The kit has not been inventoried part-for-part, but most if not all of the custom parts seem to be here. Includes instructions and a few cut-up pieces of the decal sheet.

Box is in nice original condition with good color and some minor general shelfwear. See my other auctions for more scarce vintage kits.
