AMT 1966 Chevy Impala SS HT 3-in-1 Kit #6726 Stock Survivor Nice Built in Box 66

AMT'66 Chevrolet Impala Super Sport. AMT'66 Chevy Impala SS Hardtop, original issue 3-in-1 annual customizing kit built as the stock version in much the same color as the stock version on the box end. It looks to have been built when the kit was new or close to it - included is a piece of newspaper that the car was wrapped in inside the box when I got it, and it is dated 1975.

Kit is fairly neatly spray painted for its time, in a metallic dark purple color, and all of the body's emblems and details are intact. The trim has been painted in silver, as have various dash/interior details. It is built stock, with the dual snorkel air cleaner, stock hubcaps and redline Firestone Supreme tires. Glass in the car looks good with no glue or tire marks. The hood is very stick after being opened a hair, and I did not want to force it for fear of breaking the hinges. Chassis is painted black, although the exhaust components are not painted much. Including instructions, but no decal sheet or additional parts. Box is in good original condition with some minor general shelfwear and fading. See my other auctions for more scarce vintage kits.
