AMT 1961 Pontiac Bonneville Convertible Kit #K-611 Annual Incomplete in Box 61

AMT'61 Pontiac Bonneville Convertible. (Missing Some Parts, Body Sanding). AMT'61 Pontiac Bonneville Convertible, original issue 3-in-1 annual customizing kit that could be built stock, custom, or race. There is no glue or paint on the body or windshield, but the body has had some sanding (the rear quarter emblems and front fender emblems are sanded off). Interior tub, dash, steering wheel and column have been neatly painted in a light beige, and the engine is partially built.

The kit has no instruction sheet so has not been inventoried part-for-part, but the 8-lug wheels, front and rear bumpers, stock and custom tail lights, stock tail light bezels, hood, 4 whitewall tires, and interior parts are all here, along with several custom parts including the continental kit (with its'Pontiac' center roundel). Definitely missing are the chassis, all 4 optional hubcaps, 1 of the 4 open wheels, and the convertible uptop and boot. The chrome fender ornaments are not original to this kit and too large (they'll need trimming), and two of the wheelbacks are not original either.

No instructions or decal sheet. Box is in good original condition with some minor general shelfwear and slight lifting of the artwork in spots. See my other auctions for more scarce vintage kits.
