AMT 1961 Buick Hardtop HT Kit Built Survivor in Box 61

AMT'61 Buick Hadtop, original issue 3-in-1 annual kit. The kit is built, with the body amateurishly painted in black. It seems to be lowered in the rear as a taildragger stance.

The body's emblems, door handles and other details are intact with no sanding, but the paint over them is fairly thick. Glass is free of cracks or tire burns, and has good clarity. Interior still has the dashboard and steering wheel intact.

The stock'1961' dated front bumpers are installed, along with a custom grill glued onto the front bumper, and custom tail lights (the stock tail lights are here loose too). Tires are whitewalls, and wheels are the stock hubcaps, but two of them have chrome spider centers glued onto them.

The engine is built and mounted in the car (air cleaner has broken off, but is here). Including several additional custom parts loose in the box (some of them may be from other early-'60s kits as opposed to'61 Buick), including a continental kit and a set of four open wheels.

Including an uncut decaul sheet, and a second slightly different partial decal sheet with some pieces cut out of it. The original box is in good condition overall, but does have some shelfwear and art loss here and there, and a bit of a musty odour. See my other auctions for more scarce vintage kits.
