This absolutely beautiful RED Galaxie "XL" convertible (color name is "Rangoon Red") is a perfect example of this revolutionary year Ford. 65 was the year Ford essentially re-constructed their cars to better compete with Chevy & these'65's were among the very best cars ever to leave Dearborn! This beautiful convertible is about as good as these ever get--bright, shiny finish with NONE of the "yellowing" which usually afflicts these AMT promos, NO body damage anywhere, shiny "chrome" most of these are very dull from age!

, it's spectacular, especially for being 54 years old! Even the ORIGINAL FACTORY BOX is still present & in surprisingly good condition, considering its age! Best of all this beauty still has its ORIGINAL hood ornament (unlike so many of these on e-Bay) & now that Modelhaus is no longer making their replacement hood ornaments, those like this one with the "real thing" will become even more valuable!
