For your consideration is a FINE & VERY RARE example of a 40+ YEAR OLD Vintage AMT ORIGINAL Issue. 1968 FORD AUTOLITE SPECIAL " HI -PER" CUSTOM MUSTANG 1/25 SCALE #T147-150. THIS IS A VERY RARE VERSION OF THIS AMT CUSTOM MUSTANG KIT. THIS WAS ISSUED RIGHT AFTER THE Mach 1 KIT THAT WAS THE MOLDED IN RED VERSION #2148-200.

This one has one has probably the coolest box art of any of the AMT issued Custom Mustang kits. This 1969 copywrited model kit was produced by the. AMT Corporation of Troy, MI. After some of the many makeovers & takeovers of the long & storied AMT model company's existence.

This kit is an original issue. UNBUILT OPENED BOX AMT MODEL KIT. The photos should tell you the story. Kit features include: Rare Blue Metallic molded plastic parts, Brightly Plated Chrome Parts, Vinyl Rubber Tires , Clear Window Glass, Decal Sheet & Instructions Sheet. The condition of this kit is what I would consider EXCELLENT!!

ALL THE PARTS APPEAR TO BE PRESENT & ACCOUNTED FOR!! (EXCEPT MISSING DECALS) WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET!! I have included plenty of photos to give you an idea of what we are offering SO Please study them before making a decision. This kit could be a great builder project or Just keep it an Unbuilt Collectors Piece & Store it with all of the many other kits that you have. I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED this kit!!

The box is square & brightly colored for it's age. The box still looks very nice & presentable with some slight rub marks from typical shelf wear over time. The molded blue plastic parts are all in great shape with the majority of them still attached to their blue trees. The "X" brace is still attached to the Mustang Body between the fenders & the long vertical pins are still on the rear of the chassis plate. Many times they get broken off but this one is good.

The glass is good & you can see the correct part number on the glass tree matches the AMT kit number. A small detail that sometimes gets lost on some buyers. The chrome tree is excellent & still has all of the parts still attached. The tires are like brand new with the "X" still in the center & the metal axles are here & have the red sticky tab holding them together.

The Instruction Sheet is here & is the original blue ink version for this kit. They are in great shape with no stains or separations or tears that I have noticed.

This kit originally came with a sheet of water slide decals & an "AUTOLITE" logo stick on style decal as well but unfortunately, they are both missing. You don't find this particular kit available on the market very often & this one is in Well Above Average Condition. OVERALL A NICE & VERY RARE OLDER AMT MUSTANG MODEL KIT. THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE AMT BOX ART PHOTOS!!! Here is a rare chance to score this GREAT kit.

Don't let it get away!! This AMT kit certainly has the potential to increase in value. I hardly ever see kits like this diminish in value over my years of collecting. Please ask questions if there is something that you cannot see something.
