AMT'61 Ford Convertible, very rare 1967-issue box that was probably only in print for a few months around the time of AMT's mod/art box series, featuring the car in its Nascar version on the cover. The box calls it a'Starliner Convertible', but I think this is a typo (my understanding is that the Convertiblers were Sunliners). Box is in good overall condition with no writing or splits, but some general shelfwear. The kit is built stock, with no paint on anything.
Build quality is decent for the time (not a glue bomb), but good windshield and windshield frame/sunvisors. The steering wheel and front fender chrome ornaments have come off, but are here.
Both the convertible boot and uptop are here (neither has been glued on). Also included are a few additional parts that weren't used in the build some custom pieces, a set of four open wheels, etc. As are shown in the photos. Instructions and decals are not here.See my other auctions for more scarce original kits and boxes.
